Cannabis, hemp, is one of our oldest crops, first planted over 12,000 years ago.
As a plant it produces more fuel, fibre, food and medicine than any other plant on the planet, and the seeds of cannabis produce the most productive and nutritious vegetable oil and protein.
Hemp is the most amazing multi usage plant you can find as it produces more fibre, from its stems and stalks, than any other single.
Hemp fibre can be used to make paper, canvas, rope, lace, linen, building materials and more. Cannabis flowers and leaves also produce over 100 unique compounds known as cannabinoids that have many physical and psychological effects.
CBD, also known as Cannabidiol is a chemical compound that comes from the hemp plant. It is one of over 85 unique compounds found in hemp, known as cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that interact with the body’s central regulatory system. This system is known to manage homeostasis and affect bodily processes such as appetite, mood and sleep. Homeostasis by the way could be described as your body working in total harmony with itself.
CBD is an example of a Phyto cannabinoid. Although our bodies can naturally produce its own endocannabinoids that bind to cannabinoid receptors in both the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, Phyto cannabinoids are known to help to kickstart our central regulatory system.
Many people are familiar with cannabidiol (CBD), which is found in highly concentrated amounts in our products, but there are actually dozens of cannabinoids found in hemp, which have shown many benefits in studies. We choose to make all our products with full-spectrum hemp oil, which includes all of the cannabinoids found in the plant, so you don’t miss out on any of the benefits.
In addition to the dozens of cannabinoids, which you can learn more about below, hemp oil is a great source of essential vitamins, minerals, Omega fatty acids, flavonoids, chlorophyll and terpenes.
On a molecular level, all classes of cannabinoid are derived from the cannabinoid cannabigerol (CBG). Cannabinoids are changed from their original acid forms by decarboxylation through heat, light, or alkaline conditions, allowing them to interact fully with the endocannabinoid system. Super Critical CO2 extraction
An expensive but non-toxic and extremely efficient method to obtain CBD oil is CO2 extraction. This requires complex equipment and expertise, but uses safe solvents and ensures a highly potent and pure extract.
The CBD oil obtained through super critical extraction is a full spectrum cannabinoid-rich product, with numerous health benefits. The oil is transparent and has an amber colour, being more qualitative than the fluid obtained through cheaper more crude techniques.
The most abundant cannabinoid in hemp oil, making up over 90% of the cannabinoid content. For a full breakdown of what is in Ethos CBD oil please download this pdf.

Trust in the brand and quality of product is the primary concern when buying CBD OIL and it can be extremely confusing to know who to buy from. Our best advice to you is to is take your time to research it and we would suggest that, at all cost, however much it may be do NOT go for the lowest price as it is almost certainly been manufactured on the cheap. Personally, I would filter by HIGH TO LOW ON PRICE. This is what you will find -the most expensive Cannabis or CBD Oil is invariably the best quality out there.
Look for these basics.
1. You need to buy from someone who can demonstrate that their oil has been CO2 extracted
2. You need to buy from someone who has full spectrum Cbd Oil.
3. You need to buy from someone who supplies TERPENE rich cbd.
4. The THC content must be lower than o.1% as otherwise it is ILLEGAL!
